MOON heading to the Simi Film Festival

Chosen as one of four projects from hundreds of entries in Women in Media’s CAMERAderie Initiative, “Moon” premiered at the Micheaux Film Festival on July 12, 2023, followed by the 22nd Anniversary DC Asian Pacific American Film Festival on July 15, Comic-Con International: San Diego on July 21 before triumphantly winning the Audience Award at the Valley Film Festival on Aug 4th. Join them as they head to the Simi Film Festival from September 17-19th at the Studio Movie Grill in the Simi Town Center. SIMIFF exists to connect independent filmmakers with studio pros to maximize their chance for exposure in advancing their careers. We are bridging gaps and opening doors, offering 1-on-1 meetings after panels with Oscar winners and nominees, Emmy winners and nominees, studio execs, and professionals whose craft is recognized through Box Office and television success.

MOON returns home to the Valley Film Festival

Chosen as one of four projects from hundreds of entries in Women in Media’s CAMERAderie Initiative, “Moon” premiered at the Micheaux Film Festival on July 12, 2023, followed by the 22nd Anniversary DC Asian Pacific American Film Festival on July 15, and Comic-Con International: San Diego on July 21. Now they are coming home to North Hollywood to screen at the Valley Film Festival on Aug 4th at 5pm. Now in its 23rd year, The Valley Film Festival (VFF) is an all-volunteer, non-profit arts project of Community Partners, who support local and international voices that advance storytelling, while furthering the education, production, and exhibition of film.

MOON to play at the iconic San Diego Comic-con

Chosen as one of four projects from hundreds of entries in Women in Media’s CAMERAderie Initiative, “Moon” premiered at the Micheaux Film Festival on July 12, and followed up at the 22nd Anniversary DC Asian Pacific American Film Festival on July 15. They return to the west coast with a triumphant screening at Comic-Con International: San Diego on July 21 at 12pm in Ballroom 6, and then at the Valley Film Festival on August 4 @ 5pm. The 22nd year of this fantastic event features 56 great films, from 7 different pop culture genres including Action/Adventure, Animation, Comics-Oriented, Documentary (Pop Culture-Oriented), Horror/Suspense, Humor, and Science Fiction/Fantasy. They have participating filmmakers from all over the world, including Canada, China, Egypt, Israel, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, United Kingdom and the United States.

Chosen as one of four projects from hundreds of entries in Women in Media’s CAMERAderie Initiative, “Moon” is set to premiere at the Micheaux Film Festival on July 12, 2023, at 4:25 pm, followed by the 22nd Anniversary DC Asian Pacific American Film Festival on July 15 at 4pm, Comic-Con International: San Diego on July 21, and the Valley Film Festival in early August. DC Asian Pacific American Film was established to be the beacon of creative output of Asian and Asian American media arts through community outreach, social media platforms, collaborative efforts with other Asian Pacific American organizations, and a film festival.

Micheaux started in 2018 with one goal in mind – to help, inspire, educate, and entertain the unseen and unheard. As Emmy-nominated creators our aim is to shift the spotlight from our own purpose and illuminate others who need a platform to showcase their unique art and connect with other like-minded creatives.
